Thank you Anne. I volunteer in a Pregnancy Care Center where women come who are fleeing lives of sex abuse, prostitution, trafficking, and much more. It is a holy place. These women often consider it their “church”. I had issues with that at first. They are terrified of actually going to church. We teach the Bible, pray with them, and do all the PCC things we should do. It’s challenging work. I pray they find a church. That is always my prayer. I’m Anglican (ACNA) and recently gave our bulletin(scriptures!) to a dear woman I’ve counseled with for a year. She lives near our church. I hope.
This is one reason I am liberal (HA!) about blocking. If someone is intellectually dishonest and willfully evil yet keeps showing up in my timeline or feed, I do not want to give them the views, not to mention raise my blood pressure. Life is too short to put up with and enable such people especially if I have no real life connection with them.
Maybe that is awful and unChristian of me. But there is a difference between being mistaken but somewhat honest and somewhat willing to listen, there is a difference between that and the willfully dishonest and profoundly evil.
I understand those who would rather not block much. I used to be one of them. But I'm old enough to be cranky and fed up.
Wow. Pearl seems to be quite the "force of nature"! Most often, when a Content Provider provides content at that rate, the "content" usually devolves to the topic of her life trying to provide the content.
Exhibit A: Bob Seger, "Turn the Page" ... the story of his life on the road. He's too busy "providing content" (in this case, live music) to actually have a life, so there is no real fodder for song writing.
"Later in the evening
As you lie awake in bed
With the echoes from the amplifiers
Ringin' in your head"
(Literaleigh) NOBODY wants to hear about it, Bob!
It also reminds me of my poetry classes in college, where half the poems were about staring at a blank sheet of paper with no ideas about what to write.
"She is always speaking, always tweeting with full and confident authority on all matters."
I've said this before, but one of my absolute favorite Bible promises is in Jeremiah 31:34 ... that blessed day when we will all cease to be telling each other how it is, how it should be, and what to do.
Against my better judgement, I went and watched one of Pearl's YouTube offerings. Well, not the entire thing ... she's blindingly dull. But here is my question:
How does having an obsequious male "Yes man" situated just off-screen, being made to dutifully back her up on every point she makes ... how does that comport with her views of men and feminism?
Based on her comment that *“women aren’t mentally adults,” I’d say it’s not so much that he’s backing her up as her statements require male validation to be … valid.

Good for you! You are doing important work. I'll pray that she comes to your church!
Thank you Paul. It seems that understanding the forgiveness of Jesus and his sacrifice is hard. Praying the Holy Spirit works in her.
Yes, that awful what Pearl said. Wow.

Oh. I didn’t realize it was HER. She’s gross.

Interesting. You’re probably right.
