I found “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” movie to be absolutely delightful, the best new Christmastide film I’ve seen in years. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
French falls into the trap of many us moderates and liberals in that he doesn’t come out and say that this whole package of gender affirming care that’s being packaged as necessary is a hot ethical and moral mess. We forget quickly that the same institutions we are praising for their ideas on youth gender care are of the same ilk that brought us electric shock therapy and lobotomies, and for the countless drugs shoved down the throats of any child that had half an imagination and was a little restless in their youth. But of course, he’s not going to say this. He can’t. He’s backed himself into a corner. As many of us have. But the truth is, most of us liberals are also on these sidelines, sort of watching with horror and hoping that we can elect moderates in our states who will ensure protection for our children against this current disaster.
Why any medical doctor participates in this Frankenstein project of "turning" a boy into a "girl" or the reverse, I will never ever understand. My daughter works in an E.R., she sees the complications that result. As was the case in the Amber Thurman disaster, when things go wrong someone else, not the initiator of some form of depraved "healthcare" is expected to assume the duty of care.
I thought "We Three Kings" was an Epiphany carol, no?
And about DOGE, if you have time, search Google images for a painting called "The Doge Leonardo Loredan" ... it features the coolest piece of headgear ("hat" doesn't seem to do it justice) in the history of art! Painted by Giovanni Bellini around 1500.
I think Elon should get to wear one of those when acting in his official capacity.
Sigh! When is Vichy French going to repent and join the Resistance?!

I'll try to get us all to go see it then! Boy, that will be a mountain to climb over.
Agree!
Concur.

I feel like our great great great great grandchildren are not going to view this moment with a favorable eye, sob.
I’m listening to That Hideous Strength too, and can’t wait to go through the entire series again.
Also, regarding DOGE, I believe the name also serves as a not so subtle nod to his favorite cryptocurrency, DOGECOIN.
I wish I could even understand what crypto is
