One quick way to discern where a spirit comes from is, does it contradict God's law or uphold it? This works for any issue: sex, abortion, immigration, you name it.
I agree with you one hundred percent on the central question here. But it’s only fair to note that French does not, in fact, call Mr. Reidl “she” in his comment, and there is actually no technical inconsistency between the two selections you quoted.
I’ve followed David French since around 2006. His general trajectory has been tragic, and I think you’re right that he’s succumbed repeatedly to the temptation to sand the rough edges of the truth for the sake of those with whom he is “privileged” to rub shoulders. But there is a lot more to his story than that.
This reply is two days late, but it's only fair to note that French has, in fact, called Mr. Reidle "she" in an interview, so there is inconsistency between his earlier statements and his current statements. He's done a 180. Nate Fischer has a screenshot from the interview: https://x.com/NateAFischer/status/1938767079852646604
French and others lost the plot. As Trump said in his joint address to Congress, there is literally "nothing" he could do that a certain group of people would approve, just because he is Trump. Witness the rush to defend a murderous regime where children are taught to repeat, "Death to America."
Do you not think our country and culture, labeling some pedophiles has contributed to this? (Note Titus 1:10-14)
When one does this, what recourse does a sinner have, but to deny Christ’s claim to redeem and claim à “cultural-self- respecting” gay or trans label instead of one which gets him booted out of everything?
I consider the pedophile stronghold to be one of the worst most anti-Christian messages, or leads to it, as opposed to seeing oneself “in Christ”, and on the way of becoming like Him (Roman’s 8:29)
Yet, the stronghold seems to (often?) begin with another affliction, especially denial after some temptation and sin of wanting to rule the world.
Note 2 Corinthians 5:12-21; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; and Galatians 6:11-15.
How do we need to see feelings and arousals from the brainstem are temptations, not to be nourished as “who one is”, but often, fears? (Catherine Pittman, Rewire thé Anxious Brain). Or unmet desire, or ways to deal with anxieties from Satan or demons, after burying/hiding sin, angry feelings, bitterness? Romans 1:18; John 4:23-24
A relationship with Jesus, of confession, truth, grace helps one overcome, but sometimes Christians forget grace; other times only have half truths.
And fears and power of the corrupt and corrupting.
May GOD show Christians how to believe once again, who people are in Christ, showing grace for slips, and pointing the weak to Him, while also protecting, (if some not listening, due process for them is penitent…17b), but for the listening, grace as one overcomes).Notice Matthew 18:15-22.

That is truly a shame.

I’m off to church soon. Our text is from Luke 18- the part about let the little children come to me and do not hinder.
Thanks Anne. I needed this.
Amen sister!
