Oh that's terrible about the African Cardinals' portrayal! That was probably a slap in the face at Cardinal Sara, the Guinean Catholic Archbishop, because he is truly Biblical.
I have had no desire to see Conclave. I did see The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and loved it. It was funny and sweet, tender-hearted but not sloppy sentimental or coy about the "real meaning of Christmas" as so many films are. The actress who plays Imogene Herdman is terrific.
Funny, my post-Christian polysci professor friend saw the movie Conclave too, and he ALSO said it was SO dumb. Impressive!

I believe that the elevation of Doubt to the place of Faith is satanic. I’ve noticed that many people truly do hate theological certainty in others.
