MacArthur is one of those people who has been famous for so long and kept aloof (and aloft!) for so long by his acolytes, that I'm not sure he has any real understanding of how ridiculous and damaging he is. He seems oblivious to his lack of omniscience.
Regarding the UMC nonsense, seems to echo the Anglican disintegration. Delayed somewhat by their tighter global structure. Again pointing out the absurdity of regional differences in orthodoxy/orthopraxy and the result of a fundamental lack of charity. I guess it would be snarky of me to accuse the UMC of racism (see https://goodnewsmag.org/message-from-african-delegates-at-2024-general-conference/).
Oh my goodness—I couldn’t get through that video of the couple telling people not to go to church. She spouted off with, “and he shouldn’t be making money off the Bible! He should be getting food and shelter, that’s it!” 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ That clinched the moment for me…not sure why, the rest was just as ridiculous!!
