Good Evening! By the grace of God, I’m actually getting this out on the day we recorded. This week Matt and I discuss the sad resignation of Sam Allberry from his pastoral position at Immanuel Church after new information about an “inappropriate” homosexual relationship in the somewhat recent past came to light. We talk about his position on concupiscence (the idea that a predisposition/attraction to sin is not sin), “Side B” Christianity, how Mr. Allberry was not at all well served by the people around him who let him hold his pastoral office, and how the law without the Gospel might lead a person to cover up his or her sin.
