This was absolute fire Anne! Thank you for constantly being bold enough to speak the Truth amidst the lies, for calling Christians to a higher standard - the standard of Christ. I know I have been encouraged to hold fast to the beauty of the cross through your writing, so thank you. 🕊️🕯️🙏🏻

Most of the mainline denominations have surrendered to Satan. They maintain their silence through the murdering of the most vulnerable by abortion and now assisted suicide. The sanctity of marriage no longer exists and the lies of their LGBT contingent has led to the mutilation of innocent children while these churches nod in approval.

Now is the time for the ACNA bishops to stiffen their collective spines and let the public know where we stand otherwise silence is taken as approval.

Maranatha. Come, Lord Jesus. By Your Spirit, make us eager to see You come riding on the clouds of glory, leading the angelic army, to crush the serpent's head, and wring from the heavens and earth all unrighteousness and sin, putting an end to death and the powers of darkness. Maranatha.

I despise the terms “faith leaders” and “faith communities”. What does that even mean?

I think the Anglican Church leaders must have “read the room” and seen the message had been rejected (for now?) and feared making things worse.

It would be interesting to ask why the compromises, where community had broken down, and why God seems so unrealistic, or unreal. A tragedy. And none are perfect.

This makes me sad. So much joy, to be found with Christ in suffering.

Maybe faking one’s own death is sometimes a good idea though.

What is particularly troublesome about legalizing assisted suicide is that we have put the government in charge of our healthcare. These entitlements have proven impossible to reform. One way the government saves a lot of money is if people die earlier rather than later. Given the financial pressure the entitlement state faces, it isn't farfetched to consider that the government will be motivated to promote assisted suicide even for those who are not in a dire medical condition.

Exactly. Thank you Anne. I have sat by the side of many a dying patient. Suicide is horrible. I have seen the results of suicide on families. It’s not pretty. Recently my SIL in her home passed away and we cared for her and prayed over her. She did not suffer as we gave her morphine. Hospice titrated it to her needs. People outside the church lack understanding of suffering and that’s what has got us into these laws in the first place.
