I was planning on finishing up my long travail through She Deserves Better this morning, but I inadvertently (take that Zinsser) left my book downstairs and I don’t think I can stagger out at this early hour without some kind of mental breakdown. I will see if I can pick it up tomorrow or Friday, hopefully before next week. Instead, I came across a disturbing (to me anyway) video yesterday. I don’t know if you want to watch it, but I’ve put it at the bottom of the post if you would like. I’ll try to describe what seems to be going on, with all my own commentary mixed right in.

Someone named Charlie Kirk, who I believe is pretty famous in politics but who I only discovered existed in the last few weeks, runs an organization called Turning Point USA, not to be confused with a whole lot of churches that bear that same name. Apparently, in the mannnter of Matt Walsh and others, he goes from one college campus to another hosting forums wherein he and students “engage” over the issues of the day. I don’t watch clips of these kinds of things much because I do find them stressful. Conflict, funnily enough, is not my favorite.

I think this video is useful because Christians have to discover what time it is. They should already know, but still, many of them don’t.
